AVW Newstime Comedy: Obama does love America, he’s just not ‘In Love’ with America
Last week, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani made a statement at a private dinner for Wisconsin governor Scott Walker questioning the patriotism of President Barack Obama.“I do not believe, and I know this is a terrible thing to say, but I do not believe the President loves America, “ declared Giuliani. “He doesn’t love you, and he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up and the way you were brought up or the way I was brought up through love of this country.”While Giuliani has since explained his claim in a different light, many are still left wondering why he made the comment in the first place, and also why he sounds so much like an ex-girlfriend who has just been broken up with.“It just feels like if he really cared about America, he wouldn’t be talking to other countries at the same time,” explained Giuliani in an exclusive interview on Fox News. “I know it’s part of his job, but he doesn’t have to be so callous with America. And what’s with all of that traveling? He’s clearly hiding something.”The concerns of Giuliani stem from recent statements made by other members of the Republican Party who have argued that Obama has not been using aggressive enough language when discussing ISIS.“He won’t call them Islam or Muslim,” stated Giuliani. “I’m not saying he’s walking around with ISIS’ lipstick on his collar, but he’s certainly not saying anything negative about them.”White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest quickly responded to the accusations made by the ex-mayor.“It’s not that the President doesn’t love America,” reasoned Earnest. “It’s just that he’s not ‘in love’ with America. He’s got a lot on his plate right now. Between family, friends, and running the most powerful country in the free world, he just doesn’t have time for that sort of commitment at the moment.”Earnest went on to explain that the President doesn’t want to risk his friendship with America, because he does care about America very much and hopes America will understand.
