Ohio U Campus Crime: OUPD arrests individual on campus for possession of meth

In the last two weeks of September, OUPD made numerous arrests, including burglary and trespassing.[dropcap txtcolor="#234a83" style="dropcap1"]T[/dropcap]he Ohio University Police Department issued numerous citations in the last two weeks of September for crimes ranging from possession of methamphetamine to gross sexual imposition. A Nelsonville man was found asleep in a car parked on a campus lot. Upon further investigation, OUPD found methamphetamine and material consistent with drug trafficking in his possession. He was detained and taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. An individual was charged with criminal trespassing after being found in Peden Tower — a building attached to Ohio U’s football stadium — eating food from a refrigerator.[AdSense-A]There were 11 citations issued for possession of marijuana, along with four counts of paraphernalia. Of the paraphernalia charges issued, one charge was to an individual OUPD initially found passed out in the doorway of his dorm room. He was charged with both disorderly conduct by intoxication and possession of paraphernalia.This was one of six disorderly conduct by intoxication charges that were issued throughout the two-week period. Four of these individuals were found passed out by OUPD and three were found in possession of fake IDs. Additionally, two individuals were cited for the underage consumption of alcohol. Of those cited for disorderly conduct by intoxication, one was also charged with obstructing official business after not cooperating with police. One account of gross sexual imposition was reported the day after it occurred. Full details of this offense have yet to be released by OUPD.There were also two people charged with simple physical assault. One of these was accompanied by an account of non-forceful burglary. This was reported as an intimate partner offense.
