Ohio U Campus Crime: An explosion on campus?

No crime occurred on Dec. 22, Dec. 23, Dec. 25, Dec. 27, Dec. 28, Dec. 30 or Jan. 5. Winter Break wasn't completely fun and games for OUPD, though. Here’s our round-up of crimes that occurred during Ohio U's Winter Break.

New year, new drug offenders

The Ohio University Police Department gave four citations for the possession of controlled substances on Congress Street, Parking Lot 120 and Bromley Hall. OUPD did not report any citations for the possession of marijuana during break, but they gave two citations for the possession of marijuana paraphernalia at Johnson Hall.

Caught red-nosed

OUPD gave three citations for disorderly conduct via intoxication over break. These occurred on Depot Street, Luchs Street and at the Convocation Center. One citation was given for underage alcohol consumption on Court Street.

Traffic

There were five traffic incidents reported in the last month. They were for operating a vehicle with an expired license, two counts of speeding and two counts of driving under suspension. There were also two OVI’s reported at Richland Avenue at an undisclosed location.

Property Destruction

OUPD reported one count of property destruction at James Hall.

Harassment

OUPD reported one count of telecom harassment.

Explosion

On the last day of finals at 4 p.m., OUPD reported an explosion on University Terrace. No further details were provided.
