The 7 best ways to follow along on election night
Most college students don’t have cable, but that doesn’t mean they have to sit out on election night. We’re breaking down the top ways to get the most up-to-date election news.
- The New Political
Time: 9 p.m. Where: Facebook LiveWhat: The New Political will be having election night coverage on Facebook Live with up-to-the-minute election results and segments every half hour hosted by Nate Doughty and Bianca Hillier. TNP will also have Snapchat coverage throughout the day, with custom filters accessible in Baker Center. Time: 4:30 p.m.Where: Facebook LiveWhat: Along with opening up its website and mobile apps for free on the run-up and during the election, the New York Times is preparing a pre-made video and live coverage from “Run-Up” host, Michael Barbaro.

Time: 7:30 p.m.Where: Facebook LiveWhat: Ohio University’s The Post is providing coverage of the local and national races live on its Facebook page. It will also have a blog that will be updated as results pour in.

Time: 6 p.m.Where: elections.twitter.com or Twitter appWhat: Not much is known about what Buzzfeed’s election night coverage will be, but according to Variety it’s being put together at the last minute. One of the details we do have is Buzzfeed will be using a whiteboard in lieu of some giant CNN touchscreen.

Time: 7 p.m. Where: Facebook LiveWhat: The Washington Post’s coverage will be hosted by Ed O’Keefe and Elise Viebeck, with contributions from a myriad of WaPo reporters. Notably, The Fix’s Chris Cillizza will be popping in from time to time to provide commentary on the night’s results.
