Breakdown: Student Senate election results

The Ohio University Student Senate elections this were different in quite a few ways. Outside of the large number of tickets on the ballot (at one point, there were five), the debate focused on how Senate should be run rather than campaign promises. BARE focused on a direct democracy, Phoenix focused on bringing in a coalition on outsiders to lead, SOS focused on a representative democracy and Student Nation focused on uniting with other student governments to lobby in the Statehouse. Ultimately, the student body (or 13.6% of it) voted in favor of a representative democracy as SOS won 30 out of the 34 elected positions. Elections
