A woman, from The Plains, was sentenced after police discover heroin hidden in her vagina.Courtney Meadows pleaded guilty Thursday after accepting a plea deal in the Athens County Court of Common Pleas consisting of community control on the condition the defendant seek to obtain her GED and find employment.Meadows was charged with one count of possession of heroin and one count of tampering with evidence after police stopped the vehicle she was traveling in. Officers found her in possession of three bags of heroin after she attempted to conceal them in her vagina.An Athens woman was sentenced after breaking and entering the premises of Flores And Associates.Deanna Linkous pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of breaking and entering, one count of theft and five counts of forgery. Linkous accepted a plea deal insisting she enter a diversion program or face an underlying sentence of three and a half years.LInkous was apprehended at 11 E. Washington St, Flores And Associates, where the defendant attempted to steal and use blank checks from the offices at that location.Also Thursday, a Millfield woman was sentenced after police found her in possession of heroin.Sarah Estep was arrested on Jan. 8 and pleaded no contest to the charge of one count of possession of heroin. Estep was released on community control.
