Podcast: Athens Happens - Greek Life Reinstatement Approaches At Ohio U

Athens Happens is a weekly news podcast brought to you by TNP reporters dedicated to explaining the nuances of Athens and state politics.

You can find new episodes every Friday at thenewpolitical.com, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, or wherever else podcasts can be downloaded.

This week, we examined the director of Sorority and Fraternity Life’s visit to Student Senate last week to discuss the recently suspended organizations at Ohio University, and the Greek Life Town Hall and Interfraternity Council meeting where members of the greek life community voiced their concerns with the recent investigations.

We also discussed the recent stream of petitioners around Ohio University’s campus asking students to sign a petition to “save Ohio energy jobs,” and last weeks Athens mayoral and City Council debates where candidates discussed issues ranging from income inequality, to excessive police force, to unlit pathways on the city’s west side.
