The Ohio University Student Senate Judicial Panel announced the removal of the ACTION OU ticket from the 2020-2021 Student Senate ballot Friday morning.

The panel’s investigation found that the executive candidates from the ACTION OU ticket were guilty of quid pro quo and providing inaccurate information about the existence of those relationships, according to a press release

ACTION OU provided “compensation in the form of appointments for support of their ticket,” the Judicial Panel’s press release said.

The panel immediately removed the ACTION OU executives — Governmental Affairs Commissioner Maddie Kramer, International Affairs Commissioner Ceren Özcan and Vice Commissioner of Operations Sam Carryer — and dissolved the ticket.

Candidates that were involved with the ticket but were not found guilty after the investigation will be able to remain candidates but will be independent candidates for the Senate 2020-2021 election.
